Given its proximity to Sants Station, the design speeds for the bridge range from 80 km/h to 150 km/h, with a maximum gradient of 25/1000, ensuring smooth and efficient travel for high-speed trains.

The main contractor, Acciona, is a leading Spanish firm specializing in construction and infrastructure management. The design was provided by PEDELTA, a multinational engineering firm based in Barcelona, which also oversaw the construction project. The steel components were supplied by MEGUSA, a metallurgical company.

The first section of the bridge was built using a self-supporting formwork, allowing construction to proceed without disrupting the traffic below. The second section was constructed in situ, span by span. The steel pieces, varying in length from 12 to 20 meters, were transported to the site and assembled on the access embankment. The bridge was built in three segments, with each segment pushed into place using temporary supports. This method ensured precise alignment and stability during construction.

In total, 2,637 tons of steel were used in the construction of the bridge, highlighting the scale and complexity of this engineering feat.
