The church underwent several modifications over the years, including the addition of a sacristy in 1893 and a parish hall in 1966. Excavations in 1971 revealed the choir bay and apse of a vaulted predecessor from the late 12th century, adding another layer to its rich history.

The interior of the church is a visual feast, with cross ribs and robust belt arches adorning the bays of varying depths. These elements rest on rectangular templates with profiled fighters, adding to the architectural elegance. In 1973, the original Baroque finish was uncovered and restored, with further refinements made in 1998. Among the older treasures are figures of Saints Liborius, John Nepomuk, George, and Catherine on the right side, and Saints Martin and Agnes on the left. The altar panels, painted by Hunstiger in 1940, add to the artistic allure. A marble baptismal font from around 1700 and a wooden pulpit dated 1709 are other captivating features.

The church houses several remarkable paintings, including a 17th-century oil painting depicting the Holy Family with Saint Anne and the death of Joseph. Other notable works include paintings of Saint Catherine (1702) and Saint Apollonia (1710). The Stations of the Cross, created in 1775 by Stanislaus Stegmüller, feature oil paintings and inscriptions that offer a poignant reflection on the Passion of Christ.

Wooden sculptures from the 18th and 20th centuries showcase a double Madonna, the Immaculata, Saint John the Baptist, the Education of Mary, Saint John Nepomuk, and Saint Barbara. A silver-gilt chalice adorned with gemstones and enamel medallions from the 18th century is another exquisite piece in the church's collection.

The Majestic Organ

The church's organ, originally crafted by an unknown builder before 1700, once boasted twelve registers. In 1978, a new organ was built within the historic prospect by the Westfälischer Orgelbau S. Sauer company in Ottbergen. This new instrument features 27 registers on two manuals and a pedal, blending seamlessly with the church's historic ambiance.
